Welcome To The RPI Rugby Football Club

Established 1979

What exactly is Rugby? Rugby is a free-flowing, fast-paced, full-contact game that features a combination of strength, speed, and strategy to move the ball into the opponent's territory. With both a Men's and Women's team, the RPI Rugby Football Club dominates the D2 Tri-State Rugby Conference. Interested in joining a sport that offers competition at a collegiate level without the overwhelming commitment of a varsity athlete? Join RPI Rugby Today!

  • Do I need prior experience?

No! In fact, the large majority of RPI Rugby's players have no background in Rugby when they join the club. The club will teach you everything you need to know to play Rugby.

  • When is your season?

RPI Rugby's Men's and Women's team play their conference games in the Fall Season, proceeding to Playoffs and Nationals in late Fall. In the spring, the Club travels to nearby tournaments such as Beast of the East and plays scrimmages with nearby schools.
